April Fool

So it's somehow made it through to April with out me even stopping to smell the roses...

I'm gradually adding money to the travel fund... minus the excess for insurance to fix the back of my car where I backed into a tree and bits and pieces like new winter boots. I need to get more serious about the saving cause I'm definitely getting more serious about more travel.

2011... now where did that come from?

Sitting in my mother's living room laughing at her while she plays Angry Birds on her iPhone, contemplating the New Year...

I have no idea what this year has in store for me, but i hope that it involves some more travel... Every time I see a travel program on TV I get this longing... and if they are somewhere I have been, the memories start flooding back.

The Begingings of Betwix and Between

I'll be 31 in 2 weeks tomorrow...

Birthdays always make me think about where I am in life. To start with I'm a hell of a lot happy than I was this time last year. The wants are the same but I'm in a more stable place mentally.

Last year all I wanted was a partner, a baby and a house. Preferably immediately. Now I still want those things, but I have enough sense and stability to know that if they are going to come, I need to be patient and not rush things... No use trying to force the issue!
