I seem to happen on accidents a lot. It doesn’t seem to matter if I am on my way home from work, visiting my mother for the holidays, on holiday with girlfriends or simply taking the scenic route on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
Those are four incidents that stick in my mine like dark blips, I learnt lessons from all of them:

10 things about me...
I thought I would write another get to know me blog.
So, here are 10 things you may not know about me, I make no excuses for any of these facts. They are what they are and although they may shock you, make you feel sorry for me, or make you think I’m just asking for attention, that is not my intention. I am simply showing you who I am and just maybe why I am the way I am.

Change is a Good Thing
So... a lot has happened in the last few months. I've FINALLY bitten the bullet and changed jobs. Wowee that was an effort and a half.
Now I don't mean finding a new job, by comparison that was simple.

My life as a teenage cheerleader and other awkward stories…
So, I was a geek growing up. Let’s see – red hair, cut into a mullet no less, braces, a mother who liked us to be ‘original’. She was an artist, not a hippie, but didn’t want us to conform. She sent me to my primary school Halloween social dressed as a witch doctor. I just wanted to be a witch, with a black wig, a broomstick, green face paint and a wart on my nose!!

Just say No?
I don’t know why I find it so difficult to say no. It’s a simple word, one syllable, two letters… No… N-O.
*sigh*
I’ve complicated my life no end by not saying no, I’ve gotten myself into some truly terrifying positions and met some very undesirable people.
There have been many times in my life when I should have said no:

Message to a Younger me….
So, a friend of mine on Twitter recently wrote a blog on what he would tell a younger him… so I’m writing one to a younger me…
- Be proud of being a redhead… one day people will think it’s sexy…
- Be proud of who you are… don’ let the bullies rule your world, there is something out there for everyone

April Fool
So it's somehow made it through to April with out me even stopping to smell the roses...
I'm gradually adding money to the travel fund... minus the excess for insurance to fix the back of my car where I backed into a tree and bits and pieces like new winter boots. I need to get more serious about the saving cause I'm definitely getting more serious about more travel.

2011... now where did that come from?
Sitting in my mother's living room laughing at her while she plays Angry Birds on her iPhone, contemplating the New Year...
I have no idea what this year has in store for me, but i hope that it involves some more travel... Every time I see a travel program on TV I get this longing... and if they are somewhere I have been, the memories start flooding back.
